تأسس المركز في العام 2007 على إسم المؤسس الأكاديميك البروفسور الدكتور سليم سعد و بدأ نشاطاته آنذاك في باحة منزل صغير بناه المؤسس في كرم عنب يملكه في عين زحلتا بتخطيط هندسي مميز قام بتصميمه المهندس خزاعي يرفاند سليم سعد:

و على إيقاع ريادة الناس الكثيفة للمركز قرر المؤسس أن يشيد مبنى سكني سياحي ثقافي في آن أيضاً من تصميم إبنه المهندس خزاعي و بدأ البنيان في العام 2012 ، و أطلق المؤسس إسم " كرم الحجر " على هذا الموقع الجديد و هو ظاهر على الخرائط العالمية عبر " غوغل الأرض " Google Earth.

تأسس مركز سليم سعد الثقافي في شهر تموز من العام 2007 بمبادرة شخصية و فردية من البروفسور الدكتور سليم سعد بعد ترقيته إلى رتبة " أستاذ " ( بروفسور ) في العام 2003 . و كان الهدف من ذلك ضمان إستمرارية نشر المعرفة و التبادل الفكري بين البشر ، و هذا ما ترعرع عليه المؤسس منذ نعومة اظفاره في بيته الأبوي الذي كان قد فتحه والده المرحوم خليل خزاعي سعد و زوجته السيدة شمس كامل سعد للناس في كل الأوقات نظراً لإيمانه بالدور الأساسي للتلاقي الدائم بين الناس في المجتمع الواحد ، مما أحدث أثراَ كبيراً في حياة المؤسس عبر التبادل الفكري الدائم الذي حصل في ذلك البيت منذ العام 1957 حتى العام 1999 عندما إضطر المؤسس للسكن الدائم في العاصمة و أصبح البيت الأبوي محكوماً بكثافة سكنية من الورثة لا تسمح بإستمرارية التلاقي المجتمعي السابق .

في العام 2007 قرر البروفسور سليم سعد إنشاء هذا المركز في ارض مستقلة عن البيت الأبوي في عين زحلتا و هي كناية عن كروم للعنب و التين بهدف إستعادة التلاقي الإجتماعي الذي نشأ في بيته الأبوي وأطلق على المنطقة الجديدة من عين زحلتا إسم " كرم الحجر " حفاظاً على تاريخ الأرض و تيمناً بالبيت الحجري الجديد الذي بناه .

أفتتحت النشاطات بعدة محاضرات و لقاءات فنية و ثقافية في العام 2007 و إستمرت حتى اليوم بنجاح كبير ، و قد إستضاف المركز " مهرجان القدس السينمائي الدولي في دورته الثالثة " لأول مرة في لبنان في 29 تشرين الثاني من العام 2018 بتكليف من الجهات الثقافية الفلسطينية على أثر قيام المؤسس بعمل تأليفي غنائي و موسيقي عالمي بنجاح منقطع النظير بالتعاون بين جمهورية تشوفاشيا الروسية و لبنان و فلسطين على مسرح الأوبرا و الباليه في العاصمة التشوفاشية الروسية " تشيبوكساري " في 19 تشرين الأول 2018 ، مما أعطى المركز صفة " مركز دولي " حيث شارك بتمثيل لبنان إلى جانب إثني عشرة دولة عربية و غير عربية . و على أثر ذلك و بعد قرار لجنة آكاديمية عليا في روسيا و بإقتراح من الآكاديميك البروفسور ليف بينتيلايمونوفيتش كوراكوفLev Panteleymonovictch Kourakov قامت أللجنة العليا للعلماء الروس في آكاديمية العلوم المركزية في موسكو بوضع ملف الدكتور سليم سعد في مسار البحث و الدراسة والتقييم لمعرفة إستحقاقه الحصول على عضوية الآكاديمية بناءاً على علومه و نظرياته الجديدة في الموسيقى و علومها التي تفوق التعليم الجامعي العصري في كل البلدان، و التي تضمنها كتابه "ألكتاب الموسوعي في الموسيقى وفن المسموع في لبنان و العالم" الصادر في العام 2016 في بيروت باللغة العربية و المترجم إلى اللغات : ألروسية ، الإنجليزية و الفرنسية. و بنتيجة البحث قررت الآكاديمية الروسية العليا للعلوم منح الدكتور سليم سعد عضوية "نادي العلماء" و منحه لقب "علَّامة" "آكاديميك"Academician – Academic و بالروسية Академик ، و هو لقب عالمي لا يعطى إلا في الدول الكبرى. و بتاريخ 29 أيار 2019 صدرت شهادت الرتبة العالمية العليا و تسلمها الدكتور سليم سعد من اللجنة العليا في مبنى الآكاديمية في موسكو على وقع تبريكات و تهاني أعضاء اللجنة الكريمة.

         The center was founded in 2007 in the name of the founder, Academician Prof. Dr. Salim Saad, and began its activities at that time in the yard of a small house built by the founder in a vineyard owned by him in Ain Zhalta with a distinctive architecture plan designed by Architect Khouzai Yervand Salim Saad, and based on the rhythm of the intense participation of the people in the center, the founder decided that a tourist and cultural residential building is being built at the same time, designed by his son, Architect Khouzai. The construction began in 2012, and the founder named the area "Karm Al Hajar"(Stone Vineyard) on this new site, which is visible on global maps via Google Earth.

         Salim Saad International Cultural Center was established in July 2007 on the personal and individual initiative of Academician Professor Dr. Salim Saad, after his promotion to the rank of “Professor” (Higher Degree above the summit) in the year 2003. The aim of that was to ensure the continuity of spreading knowledge and intellectual exchange between the peoples, and this is what the founder grew up with from an early age in his patriarchal home, which was opened by his late father Khalil Khouzai Saad and his wife Mrs. Shams Kamel Saad to people at all times due to his belief in the essential role which isthe permanent meeting between people in the same community, which made a great impact on the founder's life through the permanent intellectual exchange that took place in that house from 1957 until 1999 when the founder was forced to live in the capital, and the parental home became governed by a housing density of heirs that did not allow the continuity of the meeting former societal.

         In 2007, Professor Salim Saad decided to establish this center in a land separate from the parental home in Ain Zhalta, which is a place for grapes and figs in order to restore the social convergence that arose in his parental home. The new area of Ain Zhalta was called “Karm El Hajar” in order to preserve Earth's history and homage to the new stone house he built.

The activities opened with several lectures and artistic and cultural meetings in the year 2007 and have continued until today with great success. The Center hosted the “Al-Quds (Jerusalem) International Film Festival in its third session” for the first time in Lebanon on November 29, 2018, commissioned by the Palestinian cultural authorities after The founder made a composition work for lyrical and international music with unparalleled success in cooperation between the Russian Republic of Chuvashia, Lebanon and Palestine at the Opera and Ballet Theater in the Russian Chuvash capital “Cheboksary” on October 19, 2018, which gave the center the status of an “international center” as it participated in representing Lebanon In addition to twelve Arab and non-Arab countries. Subsequently, and after the decision of a higher academic committee in Russia and at the suggestion of academician Professor Lev Pentaleymonovictch Kourakov, the Higher Committee of Russian Scientists at the Central Academy of Sciences in Moscow placed Dr. Salim Saad’s file in the course of research, study and evaluation to determine his eligibility for membership in The Academy which is based on his new sciences and theories in music and its sciences that surpass modern university education in all countries, and included in his book “The Encyclopedic Book on Music and Audio Art in Lebanon and the World” issued in 2016 in Beirut in Arabic and translated into Russian: , English and French. As a result of the research, the Russian Higher Academy of Sciences decided to grant Dr. Salim Saad membership in the "Scientists' Club" and granted him the title of "Academician-Academic" in Russian “Академик”, an international title that is only given in major countries. On May 29, 2019, the certificate of the highest international rank was issued and received by Dr. Salim Saad from the Higher Committee at the Academy building in Moscow, upon the blessings and congratulations of the members of the honorable committee.
